What is the Role of a Real Estate Closing Attorney in Rhode Island?
Closing a real estate transaction requires a significant time and effort by all of the parties involved. The initial phase is the Purchase & Sale Agreement (P&S) negotiation and signing where the basic price, closing date and other terms and conditions are finalized.
Following the P&S signing, a title report, a mortgage commitment and other financial and property inspection tasks are finalized. A Rhode Island real estate closing attorney will generally assist the client with all of these matters.
Finally, at the closing the parties will need to execute documents such as a deed, mortgage and various tax forms and affidavits. These documents need to be prepared for signing on the closing date. The exact amount of funds necessary to finalize the purchase and pay for any outstanding items such as mortgage pay-offs and financing costs must be calculated beforehand and brought to the closing.
We are experienced Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts real estate closing lawyers who can help you save time, money, aggravation, and disappointment. I work closely with clients in all aspects of each transaction. You will also have access to your closing file to closely monitor all aspects of the closing using our cloud-based Qualia closing platform. Qualia brings all of the parties together -broker, buyer, seller, lender, buyer’s attorney and seller’s attorney on one platform allowing for document upload, download, review and e-signing.
